HACHFEST 2009

LIVE, LOCAL & LOUD!

Mutimer's Meadow, Hacheston

31st July - 2nd August 2009

Adrian Edmondson & ‘The Bad Shepherds’ to headline Hachfest 2009

HACHFEST runs over 3 days with 2 stages of live music of all genres, providing a great weekend of entertainment for all the family. Showcasing local musicians and supporting local charities. (All profits go to charity).

In 2009, the event kicks off with ‘Foot Stompin’ Friday’ – an evening of folk & rock, with some of East Anglia’s best known bands, including folk band ‘Murphy’s Lore’, Pogues tribute – ‘Waxie’s Dargle’, and headlined by ‘The Bad Shepherds’ featuring Adrian Edmondson.

Saturday is ‘Live, Local & Loud’ - A hard hitting day of rock and pop acts of all ages, culminating in a double headline by local 60s sensation ‘The Wild Oats’, and top tribute act – ‘Counterfeit Quo’. Throughout the day there will be performances from Road to V contenders ‘Underline The Sky’, local favourites ‘Umbrella Assassins’, and new young bands ‘Walkway’ & ‘I Know Jack’. Energetic original indie band ‘Jade’ & space rock band ‘Mohawk’ promise to have the crowd jumping.

Sunday is ‘Alternative’, with an eclectic mix of music and dance including original acoustic pop from ‘The Caution Horses’, & amazing jazz piano from ‘Judi Willson’. Feel good pop band ‘The Marvelous’ (who have supported ‘Hard-Fi’, ‘The Bluetones’ & ‘The Dogs’), and local Brazilian act ‘Samboomba’, ensure the weekend is rounded off with a bang!

As well as the music, there will be plenty of activities off-stage for all the family, including this year a circus skills workshop (Saturday), face painting & many other stalls. Food & refreshments are provided on site all weekend.
